恰恰恰

恰恰恰 is a dance and a musical genre invented in 1954 by the cuban violinist Enrique Jorrin of the America Charanga Orchestra.  The word Cha-cha-cha comes from a product dancers used to rob on their shows before they went on the dance floor.

Enrique Jorrín, noticing the difficulties dancers had with the danzón-mambo model, he prefered to search for a simple form composed based on the melodies, so the dancers could based their moves on melodic terms rather than with a syncope.

This combination of melody with the timing, and the accomponiement is a characteristic of this new genre called Cha-cha-cha.

Cha-cha-chá was called also at the beginning triple mambo. Hence, it came after Mambo, though it had to surmount the popularity of other rhythms of the times such as Rock and Roll, and the Pachanga of the 1960.

恰恰恰舞蹈

Cha-cha-cha is a relatively new discipline to learn, but the steps are a little bit more complex than those of the other regular dances such as rumba, mambo, salsa, etc. Its main characteristic is actually in the routine about the four and one on the dance.

基本步伐 :

time 2 : the male dancer steps forward with the left foot transfering the weight of the body forward, while the lady steps back on her right foot.
time 3 : the male dancer balances the weight of his body backwards with his right foot, while the lady does it with her right foot.
time 4 and 1 (or "cha-cha-cha") : the male dancer moves their body to the left, and the lady to the left.
Then they start again reversing the roles.

The Cha-cha-cha is a very engaging music, characteristic from its irregular counting: we go  "two-three", "four-and-one", the last corresponds to the "cha-cha-cha"  thus given its name to the dancer.  The cha-cha-cah tempo turns around the 30 pulsations a minute.
